Merry Christmas!

Christmas 2008
Christmas is done for this year. I can honestly say I am glad in a way we shoved a lot in the last few days.

One week ago it was my daughters 12th birthday. We had her parties earlier so we just went out to eat. It was good food but the waitress was rather rude!

Friday ~ No school the first Snow day and we did .... nothing and it sure was fun!

Saturday ~ Santa came early so we could have time to play with our new toys.

Sunday~ and that is all we did played.

Monday~ We went to the Columbus zoo and froze.. really really cold weather 10* when we got there. I think the high was 15*~ We had a wonderful time my grandfather won tickets(He is always winning something!) We spent money and tried ice skating that was a lot of fun.

Tuesday~ We had Christmas with Scott's dad and step mom it was nice. The weather not so much freezing rain and a big mess.

Christmas eve ~was spent with My Dad first half day kids got scooters and my Mom the last half we got a Wii! Then the children left at 9 to go to their Dads

Christmas Day ~ Did much of nothing this morning. Went to my grandma/grandpas about noon and the kids were dropped off there they were not in a very good mood and I believe it was because they knew they had to go back until New Years eve.

Please pray that my children return safely. I miss them so much.

Tree

We went out yesterday after school/work and pick out a tree. I do think it is wonderful tradition that we have started. (And all because we got free candy three years ago) Well no free candy this year and we won't go back and get candy there at all any ways they are way over priced. So we found a new place to cut your own tree ok let me say you can cut your own be we did not have to cut the tree down as the ground was a bit frozen but also a bit muddy. (yuck!) The owner came with a chain saw and down the trees went the kids even got to ride back. So glad to have this tradition with my Dad and Nancy! Even if we froze! sorry no pictures maybe someday I will get better taking pictures.

Snow

Snow Snow and more snow. I love snow. I love snowflakes I love how each one is different.
I am so excited. We really don't have all that much but schools are on a two hour delay.
Only trouble is finding out when I am due in as I am scheduled to work at South.
Guess I better get off my butt.
I love snow.

Still Sick

Still a bit sick just a cold nasty nasty cold.

Not much happened this weekend. I stayed in bed all day Saturday and it was nice. I am regretting it now as I have so much housework to do. My dad had us all out to his house tonight for dinner and it was nice no fire but guess I can't have everything I want I am just so happy I didn't have to cook!
Oh and we had a bit of SNOW today ! I love snowflakes but this was more of a freezing rain/hard pelting snow. It was nice don't get me wrong but it could have been better.
Off to bed hope everyone had a nice weekend.

So bad yet so very funny

I found out today that my daughter, Kayla cut her eyebrow hairs over the weekend. "It was an accident" she stated. Then she tried to hide it from me this morning with black and blue pen markings. (wish I would have gotten a picture of that!)
I told my mom on the phone this afternoon I would expect something like this from a 4 year old but not a 11 year old. Ah well it is awful funny. Especially sending her to school this morning after I washed the pen markings off. Kayla was so mad. As you can tell from the picture she is not to happy that I took this picture.

No Two for Tuesday

Two for Tuesday was my plan for Tuesdays but I am just not going to get to the second one today as I really don't have any thing much to post. I worked today at the JR High (one on one) and hated it not as bad as the SED room(that one day) but bad just the same. I really am flexible with about any job they call me for but I am really starting to hate the JR High. Not many people would take a job that they only know if the are going to work usually 30 min to 1 hour before they are due in. Today I got called in at 10min till 9 for a job that normally starts at 730 was not really happy but I went on in. ugh!

Now if anyone is reading this blog and has any idea on how to change the clock when you post I would be grateful for some help!
Hugs to all

Monday

Monday's are almost aways boring today was no exception totally boring. More house work today mostly folding and putting away clothes. Then some TV watching and a nap. A Wonderful! Glorious! Nap to say the least as I didn't sleep well last night. TJ missed his bus stop some how Kayla got off and TJ didn't he had to walk alone from the next stop and was so mad because everyone made fun of him. Scott is working on his truck again.(a very common thing in this house. If Scott is not working on one of ours he is usually working on a family members or a friends) Made dinner over at my mom's. Didn't feel right with "The House Sitter", Robert there even if we pretty much grew up together. That was almost 15 years ago! Time sure does fly, and things sure do change!
That is all for tonight need to help get the trash out and hopefully head to bed early!

Lazy day

This picture is old as in Fathers day 2007, but it is my favorite picture of all my loves together. I thought it would be fitting as my first try in posting a picture.
Monopoly and not much of anything today. I did get a new Monopoly game with "credit cards" so much easier than all the paper money making a mess. Just a lovely Sunday just being together.
Hugs to all

Set clocks back

Set clocks back tonight! Later than usual but still seems strange.

My morning was spent at yard sales probably the last of the season wish my mom was here to enjoy them. Hope she is doing OK in Florida, taking good care of Uncle Greg. My Uncle Greg could use prayers. He has been having some trouble hopefully it is all behind him and he is on the mend now!

Spent the last 7 hours cleaning well not just everyday cleaning, deep cleaning getting rid of all the clothes that don't fit Kayla, TJ and myself. I also dropped Kayla and TJ's clothes off to someone who can get them to who needs them. I got rid of a bunch of junk too. Still a long way from the way I want this house but it is coming. Soccer is over and now the fundraiser is over so I will have some free time before the holidays. I hope or we will have no room for a tree this year!

So day two is done off to finish up the living room!

Starting something new

So here goes my first try at "BLOGGING"
A bit about ~me.
I am a 31 year old mother to two wonderful children, Kayla my sweet wonderful daughter who is 11 and TJ my sweet little boy is 9.

I have a wonderful husband of 6 years who loves my children like his own. And maybe someday by Gods grace we can have a child (or maybe two?) together.
We have 3 crazy dogs Sasha, Copper, and Cali and (now) have 4 cats. We live in a very small two bedroom house. I am a sub.teachers aide with my childrens school so I can be home when they are. My life is rather boring but it is mine and I LOVE IT!

Halloween Oct 2008 (Trick or Treat was last night so no fun tonight)
Scott and Kayla are sick nothing much just a slight fever and a bit of a sore throat, TJ had the same thing Monday night/most of Tuesday. So far I have been lucky and have not caught this bug.

TJ's class went to the theater today and hear the symphony it was neat TJ's class had too many volunteers so I went with a different class and met one of the new teachers a the school. He seems nice but not really in control of his class leaving, there were so many children leaving I was a bit scared. I am sure it is completely different at school.

I also finished up with most of the funraiser orders only a few problems left. I am so glad. I didn't think being "in charge" of the funraiser for the school was going to be so hard just hope I can keep up. Now just to find the time to deliver what my children sold.
So that is all for my first post lets see how this goes!
